Yonkers is welcoming a new UPS facility, and along with it, hundreds of new jobs.

UPS at 555 Tuckahoe Road will hire more than 150 seasonal jobs ahead of the holiday and shipping season.

The 435,000-square-foot plant will hire both full and part time positions in the area, including package handlers and drivers.

Officials say this will be a big boost for the city of Yonkers. "This provides for good solid middle class jobs in our community for people to live here, work here and spend a life here, so that's what we want," says Mayor Mike Spano.

UPS is already hiring, with wages ranging from $14 up to $30 an hour.
